It would be our pleasure to help you to make the most of your time in Georgetown, Guyana.
So we’ve put together some useful information about what to do, where to go, how to get around and what you need to know while you’re here with us.

What to Pack

BEFORE YOU TRAVEL

Guyana experiences a year-round tropical climate with rainy seasons usually occurring from May to mid-August, and November to mid-January. With an average temperature of 83 degrees Fahrenheit / 28 degrees Centigrade, we’ll advise you to pack light, breathable clothing. It’s the ideal place for you to get that rich tan so remember to pack your sunscreen lotion!… early-morning runs.

The coast of Guyana is below sea level and is bordered by a sea wall which is ideal for long walks or invigorating early-morning runs, however, beach activities are not quite popular on account of the rising tides.

Finally, remember to bring insect repellent to ward off the bites of our diverse insect population. Our tropical climate supports a mosquito population which becomes quite noticeable in certain areas of the country.
